The Town of Cobourg Legislative Services Division would like to advise that the list of all persons entitled to be electors for the municipal elections in the Town of Cobourg has been prepared by the Municipal Clerk’s Office.

The Town of Cobourg Legislative Services Division would like to inform all eligible electors that the final list of candidates for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections has been certified by the Municipal Clerk and Elections Returning Officer.

The Town of Cobourg Legislative Services Division would like to inform all residents that the final day to submit nomination papers for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election is Friday, August 21, 2026, at 2 p.m.

The Town of Cobourg Municipal Clerk Brent Larmer invites community members to attend extended office hours during the first week of June, to answer any election questions and to offer additional nomination filing appointments.  

The nomination period for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election is now open. Nominations can be filed from May 1, 2026 to August 21, 2026 at 2 p.m. (Nomination Day).

Notice is hereby given to the municipal electors of the Town of Cobourg that they may file their Nomination Paper for the 2026 Municipal Election with the Office of the Town Clerk by booking a Nomination meeting. Meetings are being held at the Municipal Clerk’s Office located at Victoria Hall, 55 King Street West in Cobourg, beginning on Friday, May 1 at 8:30 a.m. until Friday, August 21 at 2 p.m. 

The Town of Cobourg is inviting residents interested in running in the 2026 Municipal Election, or registering as a third party advertiser, to attend an upcoming Candidate Information Session.
